We like gifts as much as anyone, and so while we really don’t need anything, you’ll find some suggestions of items we would love on our more traditional registry. But as we prepare to celebrate the amazing blessing of having found each other, we’re mindful that so many people in our local and global communities have so little in the way of material opportunity and possessions. We would be honored, and truly grateful, if you would help us mark the occasion of our wedding by making a donation to one (or more!) of the three non-profit organizations that we serve as board members.
Kwaku is the chair of the board of Advancing Girls’ Education in Africa, which aims to provide life-changing opportunities to young women in Malawi through targeted initiatives in education, mentoring, and leadership development. Kwaku joined the AGE board in part to honor those who founded and sustained Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast, Ghana, where his mother went to school and developed her love of science.
