This historic site is in dire straits. We are raising money to preserve Lilian Place Heritage Center. The nonprofit Trust has saved three of the oldest buildings in Daytona Beach and created a 2.5 acre historic riverfront park open to the community, which includes the 1884 Victorian Museum.
March 2020 an inspection revealed $40,000 damages to the 1884 Museum building which will require new roofs of the Museum and Carriage House, plus replacement of wood and wall supports which have decayed over the 136 years. We also need to build a parking lot for handicapped access to the 1905 Hotchkiss House Cultural Event Site which will provide a venue for educational programs, teas, and private events.
With Virus Quarantine, we have been closed to all tours and events, and we need income to pay repair bills as well as the huge itility bills each month.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this important preservation cause.
