Life After Hate's goal is to prevent people from falling for white supremacy/extremism, or to get people who are into the movement out of it. Their group of affiliated organizations does that using various methods - doing talks and engaging people in discussion on it. They've held events in our dear St. Louis. I like what they do because I think they correctly identify what makes people fall for this ugly and dangerous ideology: a yearning for inclusion and the need to feel power over others for various reasons. So I think this org is in a good position to "treat" this problem. They provide people with this problem a pathway toward redemption. Moreover, this isn't about just helping misguided people, it's about slowing this potent alt-right political force that is causing all sorts of larger problems!
