Hey, I'm Angela, and I've been rowing with LGRC for over a year. In my first year as a novice, I was just barely introduced to this unique sport and the teamsmanship that comes with it. It's a great sport and more than that, a great place to be. Now in my second year, I'm continuing to grow along with my family of teammates on our Lexington Reservior, and continuing to celebrate the opportunity that LGRC offers in maintaining a rowing program.
On the last day of practice in the Fall, my novice team had some fun standing up in the boats that we practice in. The thing is, in daily use at practice and transportation to and from regattas, our equipment sees an amount of natural wear. We're always in need of maintaining and replacing older shells (boats), oars, and special coxswain equipment so that we can practice at a high level. We are entirely privately funded, and only through fundraising to people like you connected to the rowing sport are we able to provide these materials.
Please donate to our Varsity Women's Fundraiser and help to continue the forty years of crew that LGRC has made possible to athletes young and old. Even small donations can cause big waves for our team!
