This upcoming Sunday the 21st of June, our Reds will make the trip across Stanley Park to play in the 236th edition of the Merseyside Derby. There is a lot at stake.
This upcoming Sunday some of us will make the choice of watching safely from home or making the trip to Joxer Daly’s (and/or visit one of our matchday partners). Also loads at stake there.
We are not doctors nor scientist of any sort to say whether attending this weekend’s match is the right decision or not but if you plan on attending, please be mindful of everyone and the rules of the pub you’ll attend. It is our collective responsibility, after all, to see to it that we look after each other.
Sunday, in short:
• Capacity limited to 3️⃣5️⃣ Reds
• No ‘ticket’, no entry 🎟
• No mask, no entry (mask must remain on, unless drinking) 🚫
How do I get a ticket?
Sport is a luxury - not a right. These are difficult times and many don’t have the means to eat. If we can make the trek for 90+ minutes of entertainment and ale, we can at the very least help our fellow Angelinos.
Click the link > Donate* to team #LFCLA, email proof of donation to OLSC@LFC.LA to be added to a lottery. 35 Reds will be randomly selected and announced on Friday.
What if I don’t get a ticket?
Soz abar Matchday 30 but there are 8 matches left in this season to make memories together, even when apart. Next season we go for #20 because why not? Let’s all get there.
That’s it. Football is an easy game, supporting the Reds should be a canter as well.
There’ll be more updates in the days to come but let’s keep it simple for now. Either we are going or supporting from home, as Jürgen said we should. Either way, our fellow Angelinos - whether Red or not, aren’t heavy - they’re our family. “Nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” Stay safe. You’ll Never Walk Alone.
*Non-LFC Official Members minimum donation of at least $15 to qualify for lottery.
