Kopeyia Village School is in the Volta Region of Ghana. It is close to the border of Togo, another Ewe-speaking country in West Africa. The Dagbe Center, directed by Emmanuel Agbeli, supports the school's traditional arts program (along with supplementary maths and english classes). This is the community where Dr S. Ama Wray visits as she studies the many forms of traditional Ewe Arts and culture.
The Village School is in dire need of a teaching space and equipment for computer science education. JazzXchange is here to help and we are committed to helping the youth not only access technology education but the village share its cultural and artistic heritage with the world at large.
