Pangje is proud to support true community based conservation. As part of that effort, we work closely with local villages. Currently, Pangje is developing several conservation and related support programs in the village of Phu in North Central Nepal. The local Lama (Chief Monk) of the Phu Monastery is helping teach several programs in coordination with Pangje that include empowering cultural heritage lessons for school kids, as well as endangered species (snow leopard) programs. Dating back to the 8th Century, the Phu Monastery (the 108th in the region, which is a profound number in the Buddhist culture) is a revered institution; and is currently undergoing renovation. Pangje wants to help. We are aiming to provide new beds, matresses, and sheets for the monks that live in this very special Monastery. Please help us reach our goal, which in turn will help the overall efforts of Pangje, and in general support this amazing community. 100% of donations go to helping the Monastery. $25 covers single set of bedding; $75 covers a mattress; $150 covers a bed frame. Largest single expense is transport of materials from Kathmandu to Phu - any amount donated to that end is extremely helpful.
