In November of 2020, the Ethiopian government waged war on Tigray’s regional government. Millions of Tigrayans have been afflicted by the ongoing war, as well as the 96,000 Eritrean refugees who sought refuge in Tigray. The continued war crimes that took place in Tigray have led to over 61,000 refugees flee to Sudan by foot. Countless refugees testified that they had faced many hardships during their journey to Sudan; from no access to food or water to witnessing deaths. The majority of refugees left Tigray with only the clothes on their backs and what they were able to carry. Every day more than 700 refugees have arrived in Sudan since the war in Tigray started. Due to this conflict, thousands of child refugees have had their education disrupted and were forced to flee with their families. The goal of this project is to supply child refugees in Sudan with the resources needed for them to receive a quality education. We are in need of donations to purchase school supplies, sports equipment, feminine hygiene products, blankets, and more.
