Leisure City Modello Park located in Homestead, Fl has been the home to the Modello Timberwolves for almost 20 years under the Miami Xtreme Youth Football League which was established in 2000 by Mr. Jose A. Regalado. In the early years the park boasted up to 6 Football and Cheerleading teams that were well known. In the past several years, the park has seen its share of financial hardships, but with the help of the park president, staff, donors and parents, the park has been able to keep its doors open to all youths in the community.
As the 2019 season begins, we are hoping to raise funds to cut the cost of fees for the cheer program and our back to back cheer competitions at the end of the season where we all get the chance to show case our hard work and dedication.
Long practices, cheering under the sun for hours at football games, early mornings, no weekends off, are all worth it when the team walks off the mat in what feels like 5 seconds (but was actually 2 minutes and 30 seconds of stress and anxiety) with smiles that seem to last forever showing their excitement and pride.
Everything we do is for the kids. You know you have done something right, when kids come back with smiles and know they are in a safe, healthy environment and regardless if they bring home a trophy or not, the park stands behind them Cheering on their accomplishements and dedication.
