LEARN MY HISTORY FOUNDATION (LMH) - We're a Multicultural Youth Empowerment mentoring non-profit. During COVID-19’s many campaigns, here are 5 reasons to donate to LMH in a Sweet Nut-Shell!
1. WHO ARE WE?
LMH is a 501 (c) (3) organization that uniquely ‘Encourages youth to become leaders and not statistics!’ Ronnique Hawkins, a Producer of the Emmy nominated film on Emmett Till, founded LMH with the encouragement of Till’s and other historical families and supporters. Our Mission Statement is: “We are Dedicated to Youth Empowerment, Education, and Change.”
2. WHAT DO WE DO?
PLEASE SEE OUR FUN QUICK PROMO LINK! LMH’s mentoring fusions facilitate programs to help bridge the gap from younger generations through successful educators, entertainers and professionals to awaken and celebrate the hidden potential inside of everyone, particularly at-risk youth. LMH brings positive attention to inspirational individuals.
3. WHERE ARE WE?
Originally founded in New York, our new Florida chapter is looking to flourish online by inspiring youth like never before, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. LMH wants youth to consider this THEIR platform to interact and grow within us. We did NOT dissolve our NY Chapter and will revisit our efforts, supporter and youth again.
4. WHEN WILL WE BEGIN?
LMH looks to initiate our youth programs in August 2020.
5. WHY LMH and WHY 'GOFUNDME CHARITY?'
LMH is a one-of-a-kind Fusion between Mentors and Youth. This campaign is necessary to achieve our goals. We seek the continued and future support of caring youth, parents and adults and feel ‘Gofundme Charity’ is a more trusted way to reach like-minded donors and investors than other giving platforms. The equipment we need (see below) will help LMH to initiate our program interactions, thanks to YOUR generosity!

OUR BACKGROUND -
LMH was envisioned by Ronnique Hawkins as a teenager. The experiences that she encountered as a woman, and one of color, were great and challenging. Among many, modeling in the fashion world heightened her awareness to the pros and cons of fairness and kindness within human relationships, and the value of opportunities. Serving as an artist and global ambassador for Breast and Prostate Cancer awareness, Ronnique is humbled by letters of endorsement, especially from the Emmy winning CEO of the NY Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolence. She joined their United Nations and National Voting Rights Museum in Selma Alabama efforts and does speaking engagements at various venues. As a producer for the Emmy nominated film: “The Untold Story Emmett Louis Till,” Ronnique mostly credits Till’s family, along with historical survivors, fellow human rights advocates and life experiences for officially incorporating LMH in 2006. This innovative platform that connects today’s youth with amazing and affective mentors was her dream come true.
MOST RECENTLY, Ronnique spearheaded a street renaming in honor of her late mother Veronica Hawkins Allen, a beloved Florida community Police Volunteer. This inspired a powerful collaboration of a mother’s activism of helping ALL races to live free of violence and substance abuse, to her daughter’s likewise measurably impactful humanitarianism. LMH’s Florida chapter pays Ms. Allen's legacy forward through exciting new youth programs and relationship building. Having access to a better education also provides opportunities and resources; the same elements that would have lead to greater success for her late mother, herself, and countless others. Ronnique wants NO child that she encounters to be denied the vital, potentially life-saving experiences that mentoring can offer. LMH’s unique method is proven to uplift, educate, and change lives providing a positive abundance for youth. Your immediate financial assistance will help LMH bring our passionate mission to life, that’s sure to benefit those we serve.
LMH MUST OVERCOME the financial challenges from COVID-19’s pandemic in order to operate. We aim to expand our successful programming in Florida, for the foreseeable future operating online until a time when re-gathering in person can uplift our commnunities. LMH’s like-minded supporters and professionals draw from their education, experience, or both, and shower their support onto youth. LMH offers a fun and engaging shared platform that will inspire better decision-making, and proudly awards individuals for their achievements. Our programs focus on: Reading, Better Guidance, Education and Improved Relationships with Law Enforcement. These are ALL beneficial skills to improve upon.... Recent civil unrest has shed light on the inequities of the human experience in this great nation, revealing to some for the first time, that not all nationalities, especially minorities are or were ever respected. LMH’s programs can help build solidarity in our shared communities, whether rich or poor. Our diverse mentors inspire healthier choices and open more successful lines of communication aimed to improve current and future generations.
ARTS & CUTURE related activities are included, as some of our friend mentors are Grammy or Emmy winners, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees and more. LMHs 'Annual Mentoring Fusion Galas' will celebrate the hidden potential and achievements of youth and supporters, and our 'Ongoing Youth Empowerment Programs' will inspire GREATNESS.... We do need funds to grow. We already consider LMH successful, derived from youth testimonies, our youtube promo and parents reporting remarkable improvements in self-esteem, behavior and grades!
