Help celebrate my birthday this year in honor of two brave boys, Blake & Brett Fugere. As part of their annual "Giving Tree" campaign to bring joy and love to other children, I would like to raise $300 for ' The Gray Academy' in their honor. The money raised will go to purchase a Platform Swing for children with moderate to severe neurological needs who will grace their halls in the fall of 2018. The Platform Swing is an essential tool in sensory integration therapy. The swing offers therapists the ability to create a wide range of tilting movements with the control lines attached to the top disc. 100% of your donations are tax deductible.

Blake & Brett's Story: Blake & Brett are sons of one of my closest and dearest friends. Blake, now 7, was diagnosed with Batten CLN6 at the age of 5. Immediately they had their 9 month old baby Brett (now 2) genetically tested, he too tested positive for the disease. CLN6 is a disease that leaves children blind, immobile and is terminal between the ages of 6-12. They were told there was no treatment, no cure. Devastated, they immediately turned toward Cure Batten for guidance. Both Blake & Brett were accepted into a clinical gene therapy trial for Batten CLN6. A treatment that was innovative and cutting edge and completely funded by the foundation. Blake recently graduated from kindergarten and Brett is in school full time. This would have never been possible without the treatment funded by Cure Batten. Now they want to bring love and joy to other children!
