LBWF is turning 14!
First we want you to Celebrate with us, our LBWF family, with our extraordinary efforts, saving thousands of pets since 1997 and our 14 year Anniversary, as of December 5th 2020 ! We want you to share this moment, thanking our extraordinary president and founder, Linda Blair
Linda was one of the first to get involved with rescue in 1997. She put everything aside, standing up and stopping the California Breed ban in 2005! She helped, first hand on the ground, after Hurricane Katrina hit, helping to save thousands of pets after the disaster. After all the hard work was done, everyone was gone, 351 dogs and cats were left with nowhere to go in America. Linda and her support team were able to evacuate all these victims and LBWF personally stepped up for the remaining 51, bravely taking responsibility for the last abandoned and homeless pets, to bring them back to CA. LBWF rescue and Wellness center. was created, out of the need, to personally care for the rescued animals. She continued rescuing the lost, abused and abandoned dogs from the shelters and the streets. Linda has traveled all around the country and parts of the world, educating on pet overpopulation crisis and emergency preparation! All of this she has done putting her career aside to help those in need.
The LBWF rescue property serves and cares for the abandoned and rescued animals. They go through our wellness program, behavior and medical care and wait for their forever loving homes. Some are too sick from illness and cancer, so they live out their lives here with love and dignity.
We need your help to ensure we can get through this brutal next step of the COVID Pandemic, for the animals. CA is in a state of emergency and the continued lockdowns and financial crisis has left more shelters to close, reduce staff and deny intake of abandoned animals. People's pets are now finding themselves victims from their humans suffering financially from COVID along with those humans that have lost their lives. Their pets are left with nowhere to go.
On top of all this, are the CA FIRES!!!
Cal Edison's new policy is to simply pull the electricity from anyone in Ca. if they think the winds might kick up fire danger. They deactivate the power grids, leaving thousands in the dark, during the cold winter. We have already found our property in the dark 6 times this year with more outage alerts given every few days. We have two decent small, gas generators that power a few lights and so on, but we want to make our water pumps stay on, heaters for the dogs, washers and dryers that run day and night for their laundry, food supplies and medical care. We have requested an upgraded emergency rescue van, which we need your help with! Your donations support our cancer dogs prevention and stabilization program. Linda dedicated her life and incredible work to find answers to cancer and educate humans on both their own and their pets diets, getting amazing results for the dogs. Proper food is the key to stop and prevent cancer and other serious illnesses, and stabilize, all through the foods we feed our pets! We are seeing wonderful results! We need your continued support to keep on going with these necessary programs!
We want to be ahead of any more of these emergencies! We are now looking at another lockdown in Ca during the coldest time of the year for families and their pets to survive.
The large groups have millions of dollars and corporate backing so we rely on the support of wonderful people like you.
Your donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the laws and will ensure we can continue to help the emergency efforts needed for the continued effects of pet overpopulation, closed shelters, abandoned animals and peoples pets that suffer when their humans are hospitalized and dying from this COVID 19 Pandemic Crisis.
We are the forgotten front line workers for the animals and they need your help! With your help, we will raise enough to make it through these hard times for the animals need us more than ever now.
VISIT our LBWF store and support the pets with your purchase of our new LBWF merchandise and masks! No donation is too small
STAY SAFE AND WISHING YOU STRONG HEALTH,
With Love, Respect and Gratitude,
