Dear LBWF friends,
Fall is upon us and the year’s end will be right around the corner. Although summer has come to a close, we are dealing with challenges related to the wildfires raging here in California. We are grateful that we are safe and our hearts go out to all affected during this difficult time.
I wanted to take a minute and get you updated on the happenings here at the LBWF Rescue Center.
If you are following me, you are aware of all the rescue work I do up and down California. The shelters have been at beyond capacity for the last couple of years as a direct result of not enough people spaying and neutering pets. Pet overpopulation has multiplied to a crisis level.
Rescue groups always have a heart and the ability to do the right thing. I have shared some photos here to show off some of our most recent shelter dogs!
My anti-cancer work for the dogs is going splendidly but we need more funding. The dogs are living much longer with cancer. I believe its all in the food and supplements. Remember, NO grain! NO white potato! I do not subscribe to the recent hoopla of grain free resulting in heart issues. I have the largest test feeding group due to the nature of what I have been doing for the past 14 years. Keep following us to get more information and by all means email, or send a message if one of your loved companions have been afflicted with cancer and we will do everything we can to help!
Due to the wildfires, the power company is debating turning power off again due to the Santa Ana winds. This has proved challenging for us as we rely on electricity for everything from wifi to laundry. We are fundraising to obtain generators for the property that will ensure our furry freinds remain comfortable and content while they await their forever homes.
In closing, we need your help and support! We are a 100% non-profit organization and rely soley on donations. There is no amount too small. And remember, your donation is tax deductible. We can’t do this without you!
Together we will make a difference and we are ever so grateful for your support!
Yours for the Animals,
