Many of you know (and if you didn’t before, you will now!) how important the JCC in Bridgewater is to me. I never would have imagined that when I approached the then Camp Director and asked for a part time job to off-set the cost of my kids’ camp tuition, that the J would become such a huge part of me. I went from Camp Ruach Transportation Director to Assistant Camp Director to Co-Camp Director to my current position - Camp Registrar/Accounting Associate - in my 15+ years here. My children have grown up at the J transitioning from campers to counselors over the years. Their camp friends are still a huge part of their lives. My family has shared so many milestones and celebrations with our J family over the years. And we really are a family (sometimes a bit dysfunctional, but what family isn’t??!!)
The programming that the J does for and with the community is nothing short of miraculous! From serving the children and seniors to the special needs community and general fitness and recreation, the JCC has been a strong support to so many people and families.
In this year of uncertainty, our community members, staff and board members have been tested like never before. Our primary focus is to continue the vital services the JCC provides for many years to come. We are in pursuit of much-needed funding to continue our mission. We have a group of donors who will MATCH any funds we raise in the next 72 hours, up to a total of $200,000. We could have over $400,000 if we get to that number.
Every little bit helps! Please view the short video above and click on the DONATE link in the top right of this page to make a tax-deductible donation before Friday, October 30.
If you can’t give, please help me grow awareness by sharing this information on your social media.
