I joined the Junior League of Phoenix in 2015, and its effects on my life since then have been profound. I joined initially because the focus area was one I'm passionate about - fighting food insecurity. I've been able to bring my children to volunteer shifts where we packed food for the hungry, taught local school children about food and nutrition, and contributed to our community in numerous ways.
As my tenure in JLP grew, the depth of what this organization provides became more and more profound. Junior League not only provides (wo)manpower for countless volunteer shifts and events, but its overall mission is to develop the women IN the Junior League so that we can multiply our impact in the community. The training I've received in this organization, the hands-on learning, and the opportunities to grow and challenge myself have been unrivaled in anything else that I've done.
For 85 years, the Junior League of Phoenix has worked to improve not only our community, but the women IN our community. Donating to this fundraiser ensures that we can keep doing this work for the NEXT 85 years.
