Mental health awareness and treatment is very important to both Leland and I. We have close friends and family members that have suffered with mental illness, leaving lasting impacts. As most of you know, I lost my oldest sister, Alison, to mental illness in 2015 - her loss is felt every day. Although discussion surrounding mental illness is becoming more normalized, institutions that aid are still in desperate need of donations. In lieu of gifts, we kindly ask that you consider donating to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Information on NAMI is included below. Feel free to visit their website for more resources.
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. Today, we are an association of more than 600 local affiliates who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need.
