Nong Han Lake, a “Wetland of International Importance”, in northeast Thailand, provides habitat for fish and migratory birds, water for domestic use, and helps in flood control during the rainy season.
Help us train a new generation of “citizen scientists” from local schools to collect and analyze water samples from the lake. We are targeting 6 elementary schools and villages around the lake to become community scientists and water stewards. Your donation will help our program to:
-Teach students and teachers about water resources conservation
-Provide 18 Water Quality Analysis Kits for assessing the health of the water
-Create and implement an educational program on how to monitor and protect water quality
-Invest in local communities by helping them to manage their natural resources through hands-on scientific exploration
Please join us in our work to preserve this vital natural resource by empowering local youth to become the next generation of natural resource leaders.
