WE NEED YOU!
During the COVID-19 pandemic, La Pine Community Health Center (LCHC) has remained open and fully operational. As we are on the front lines, our priority remains to keep our patients healthy and away from the hospital where they would be further exposed to viruses and infections. We know that now, more than ever, our patients are going to need all of our services and assistance.
Many of our patients have cancelled their appointments and are not rescheduling at this time because they are either afraid that they may be exposed to COVID-19 or believe that they cannot attend medical appointments due to the Stay Home, Save Lives order. We are communicating with patients and the community in various ways so that they know how to access our services during this time, but our patient schedules have only been around 55% full over the past several weeks. This drop in patient visits translates to a 45% loss in receivables. At the same time, we have spent 85% more on personal protective equipment (PPE) than we had at this time last year.
Though income has decreased and expenditures have increased, it is vital that we remain fully staffed so that we may operate at full capacity and continue to provide all of our services. It is our responsibility to be here and be ready when patients need us.
$350,000??!! WE CAN EXPLAIN...
With 6 locations, 74 employees, over 7,500 patients and many services that cannot be billed to insurance, we will need $350,000 per month in addition to the grants and receivable income that we know we will receive. This first GoFundMe campaign has a goal of $350,000 to fund us for 1 month.
