Twenty-five Team Lahey runners will participate in the 2020 New Balance Falmouth Road Race on Sunday, August 16 and raise funds for Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and four other Beth Israel Lahey Health hospitals in Beverly, Gloucester, Peabody and Winchester.
BILH is a new health care system that brings together academic medical centers and teaching hospitals, community and specialty hospitals, more than 4,000 physicians and 35,000 employees in a shared mission to expand access to great care and advance the science and practice of medicine through groundbreaking research and education.
Now more than ever, it is vitally important to raise money for our hospitals. The COVID-19 outbreak reminds us how important our medical facilities are and how vital it is that they have all the resources they need to care for our sickest patients.
As of today, we know of no plans to cancel or postpone the race. But we are monitoring the situation, following guidelines provided by government and public health officials, and we will adjust our program accordingly. The health and safety of our runners is our top priority.
We are thankful for the donors who support our runners and our mission to provide superior health care, leading to the best possible outcome for every patient. And we are indebted to our lead sponsor, New Balance, as this program would not be possible without it.
Thank you for supporting Team Lahey!
