Team Lahey 2020

On April 27, 2020, the Falmouth Board of Selectmen voted to cancel the approvals of all special events in Falmouth through August 31, which includes the New Balance Falmouth Road Race. Race officials are looking at options and deciding if it will be safe enough to hold the race at a later date.

We want to thank Team Lahey for their commitment to run this historic race and raise much-needed funds for our hospitals’ Healthcare Heroes Emergency Response Funds.

We will update this page as we learn more.

Thank you for your generosity and support of our runners and our frontline healthcare heroes!

Twenty-five Team Lahey runners will participate in the 2020 New Balance Falmouth Road Race on Sunday, August 16 and raise funds for Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and four other Beth Israel Lahey Health hospitals in Beverly, Gloucester, Peabody and Winchester.

BILH is a new health care system that brings together academic medical centers and teaching hospitals, community and specialty hospitals, more than 4,000 physicians and 35,000 employees in a shared mission to expand access to great care and advance the science and practice of medicine through groundbreaking research and education.

Now more than ever, it is vitally important to raise money for our hospitals. The COVID-19 outbreak reminds us how important our medical facilities are and how vital it is that they have all the resources they need to care for our sickest patients. That’s why Team Lahey is running to support our Healthcare Heroes Emergency Response Funds at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Winchester Hospital, Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital.

Gifts to each hospital will provide resources to respond to the vital needs of our colleagues treating our patients – the real heroes of this crisis – and to procure the supplies and equipment these times demand.

Our goal is to raise more than $30,000 for our hospitals. Please support our runners as they work to help our hospitals respond to this public health emergency.
