I began my time with the Philadelphia Film Society as a volunteer in 2013. I quickly fell in love with the organization and its mission. Volunteering turned to interning, and interning to a seasonal job. In January of 2017, I joined the staff as a full time employee, and began overseeing the volunteer program that I myself started in. I get to work with this incredible group of volunteers, as well as the wonderful, talented, brilliant PFS staff who are not just my coworkers, but also my friends--as we strive to enrich the Philadelphia Film community. PFS is more than just my job. It's a place that helped grow my confidence in myself and my career. In so many ways, it is my home. I am SO PROUD of the work that myself and my coworkers do. Today, in the face of extended theater closures due to COVID-19, PFS finds itself on the brink of disaster. We know that we are not alone in this scary and uncertain place. We know that there are so many worthy orgs looking for support right now. But with the help of our family and friends and community members, I do believe that we can Save Our Screens!
