In 2016, at age 54, my Dad, Peter Frank, was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy. MSA is a rare, degenerative neurologic condition. MSA is considered a type of Parkinsonism but with more widespread effects on the brain and body.
My Dad is one of the strongest, smartest, and most determined men I know. This disease may stop him from walking long distances and restrict him from certain activities, but it doesn't stop him from being a great dad, husband, and friend. He has done so much for our family and its time we give back to him.
My siblings and I plan to run the University of Illinois Half Marathon on April 27th to help fundraise for The MSA Coalition. We may not be the best of runners, but we want to show our support and run for our Dad. Please consider donating to help us raise money for an incredible cause! Thank you!
