Break the Cycle 200 (BTC 200) uses epic one-day 200-mile athletic events to raise awareness and funds to break the cycle of human trafficking in the U.S. and SE Asia, and alarmingly right here in Iowa. This is my 9th year of doing this 200-mile biking event. We will be doing the ride on local trails this year in small groups so that we can abide by social distancing guidelines.
I am four months out from open heart surgury to repair a faulty heart valve. Nothing has motivated me more during my recovery than a chance to raise money, ride my bike, and fight to stop human trafficking. This event will push me to the mental and physical limit this year, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be alive, free, and able to ride.
I ride so that young women and children entrenched in the cycle of sex trafficking can be rescued and restored. In order to do this, I need your help! Please consider donating to this worthy fundraiser. The money is used to fund safe houses right here in the Des Moines area, as well as safe houses in Nepal. All of your support dollars will help break the cycle of trafficking by rescuing victims, reducing the causative factors of trafficking, and restoring survivors of human trafficking.
