Heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the United States and we're stepping up to do something about it.
The American Heart Association of Greater New Orleans' Go Red for Women movement and FestiGals are working together to raise awareness for heart disease and its impact on women.
As a supporter of the New Orleans Go Red for Women movement and FestiGals, we are helping to make a lasting impact in women's live in our community and around the world but we need your help! Together with FestiGals and the American Heart Association, we will help educate women in New Orleans and the surrounding area on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, aid in research to find cures for heart disease and stroke, and will level the playing field so that every woman has the opportunity to their most fun, fabulous life.
Founded by New Orleans Natives, the Crescent City Dames is a beaded corset group celebrating friendship, sisterhood and the great city of New Orleans. The Dames’ annual sashay showcasing their unique beaded corsets takes place the Friday before Mardi Gras through the streets of the historic French Quarter. The Corporation was formed as a social organization to create an annual carnival tradition for ladies, their family and friends. More information can be found at www.crescentcitydames.com.
