I’ve joined a team of colleagues and students to climb Washington State’s Mt. Adams this summer to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer and MS treatment research.
Why? Because in 2020, I choose to be intentional about what I do, in work and in life. I choose to involve myself only with projects that challenge me, contribute to a larger cause, and bring me joy.
It’s my own version of the KonMari treatment.
Right now, a 3-day mountaineering trek in the PNW brings more apprehension than joy, but I’m excited my team is partnering with Climb for Hope for such a good cause.
Climb for Hope was founded by Andy Buerger, whose sister Jodi A. Buerger ended her fight with breast cancer in 2009.
Climb for Hope raises funds to support the development of a completely new way to treat breast cancer and multiple sclerosis by using vaccines as a tool to treat cancer and MS.
Thank you for supporting me in reaching this personal summit and raising funds to tackle breast cancer!
