Hello,
My name is Brandy Duslak, I am here today to ask that you consider helping support a cause that is very important to my family. We are asking for sponsorship, donations and walker in the Autism Walk 2019 benefitting the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio. The walk is Aug 25, 2019 at franklin park mall.
Our goal is to collect a team of at last 50 walker and to raise $2000 as Team Kota’s RAWR!!!! Any business the sponsor our team will be recognized by the event along with other benefits depending on which tier you choose to sponsor us at. Any who cannot walk or are not local may register as a virtual walker to and will help us reach our goal.
A little background on why this cause is so important to our family. My son Dakota Grayson Duslak was diagnosed level 2 nonverbal on the autism spectrum a week before his 2nd birthday. We knew something was not right and had asked for interventions as he stopped hitting his milestones and started to regress in his abilities around 18 months. We went to his pediatrician and asked for speech therapy and she also referred us to Help Me Grow Lucas county. With the help and advice of the Help Me Grow we had Dakota tested for autism and we have started him many therapies and interventions. Dakota is receiving speech & OT therapy, help me Grow comes 2 times a month, we have hm enrolled in the Play project which comes once a month, he also received IBT at Harbor and is awaiting ABA therapy at Hope ridge.
Dakota is now 2 ½ years old and making great progress in the short time he has been receiving intervention. While we still have a very long road ahead, I can truly say I am so thankful for all the help and guidance we have received. The Autism Society of Northwest Ohio has helped us tremendously and many families like ours.
