Giving Back Counts
The UNOKLAYA, in continuation of our efforts at giving back by providing relief and sustainable development, has embarked a major post war project by the establishment of a healthcare center, dubbed the KLAY CLINIC. This clinic will cater to thousands of permanent and transient populations residing, schooling, marketing and travelling in Klay daily. The need for this project can further be substantiated by tangible testimonies including this one below:
“More than twenty years ago, I lost my dear sister to a simple and curable sickness – appendicitis. Due to the lack of healthcare facilities in my hometown (Klay District, Bomi County, Liberia), my sister was not able to get the help that she needed. It is 2020 and this situation has not changed much- mothers, children and the elderly are still dying from simple, curable sickness, and diseases due to the lack of healthcare facilities in the area. Losing my sister was very heartbreaking, and it breaks my heart knowing that this is still happening.”
This sad and similar testimonies have made us committed to building this healthcare facility. And that is why we are soliciting your support to complete our on-goin Klay Clinic Healthcare Center Project located in Klay town, Klay District, Bomi County Liberia where the nearest health facility is located more than one-hour drive away, as a result people die from simple curable illnesses/diseases.
With the devastating effect of the coronavirus pandemic, completing this project is now more urgent. The proposed Klay Healthcare Center could also serve as COVID-19 treatment facility for the people Bomi County.
This is why UNOKLAYA - Klay People focus is on this dire need.
Please help us save LIVES.
