Help us help others: Small businesses in the Blackstone Valley, especially restaurants and lodging and retail outlets, have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Those businesses are essential to fueling the Valley's economic engine, providng proprietors and their employees with means for living wages.
For 35 years, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council, a nonprofit agency, has helped those businesses operate and grow by conducting marketing and promotion campaigns that are no cost to the business owners. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has turned the world upside down, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council is continuing to market and promote the Valley and its assets, businesses and attractions through its website and social media platforms.
Other efforts have included launching Blackstone Bingo to generate sales for restaurants and small businesses, partnering with Ocean State Job Lot to help the nine communities we represent with Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful projects and conducting a Facebook Live music event to feature local performing artists and students from the Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Arts.
However, there are significant expenses the Tourism Council incurs in relation to those efforts, and the organization is losing funding because of the necessary restrictions imposed to overcome this pandemic.
The Council needs the help of businesses and individuals in the Blackstone Valley to continue its critical work. Please make a donation to ensure our agency can continue to keep the Blackstone Valley strong!
We thank you very much!
