KIPP Colorado Schools and Design Workshop were both born in the eyes of the importance of academia. KIPP is a national charter school organization that helps position students to succeed through K-12 and live a life full of choice and opportunity. Design Workshop is a national design consulting firm that started with two college professors and continues to bridge the gap between academia and professional work with its staff’s strong connections to their alma maters and continuing education, among other efforts. Together, KIPP Colorado and DW Denver are colliding their efforts to help their local community of students climb the mountain to and through college and lead choice-filled lives.
Each of the KIPP Colorado schools are strategically placed within communities that haven’t received the educational support they deserve. Along with working hard to make sure each child reaches their full potential, KIPP Colorado requires all their students to take AP courses throughout their high school career, and prior to graduating, they must all apply to either a college or an additional post secondary option (i.e. trade school, certificate program, etc). A future of choice and opportunity for each KIPP Colorado student (KIPPster) is a priority to the school’s mission.
In addition to helping raise money for this amazing organization, our fundraising efforts will be giving kids of KIPP the opportunity to run the race themselves, as well as provides funds for the programs that help provide the resources they need to climb the mountain to and through college. Each kid deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential, so with your help, a KIPPster will shine brighter.
All money raised here will go towards the KIPP students’ race registration fees, as well as fund programming within KIPP Colorado’s five schools to ensure each student has the opportunity to be successful in life.
