We are a non-proft, independant All Star band for student musicians grades 5-12. in the rural Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
We play in barns, tents and at least once a year in a theatre full of school children bussed in from the surrounding counties because we are considered "Vermont's Rockin' Role Models."
We've played the Vermont Statehouse, had our original music featured on an episode of the popular "Gold Shaw Farm" Youtube program and our jazz bass clarinetist appeared as a guest artist with the incredible "Pink Martini" orchestra this year (Seriously...That happened!)
We don't charge kids to participate and we are run entirely by volunteers (No employees, no paid executive directors or fundraising specialists).
When we started eight years ago we were abe to raise enough money to run the program from our communtiy which we also serve by playing live concerts thoughout the year.
But then our local economy started to shrink.
Manufacturers began leaving and shops closed making it harder and harder to raise money.
We don't (and won't) charge kids to participate because that would be a barrier to participation for many and since we are an independant organization we don't receive tax dollars.
So we need to find support elsewhere.
100 percent of all donations go directly to serve our student band members.
We would appreciate donations of any amount.
Because Music Is Important...even in rural places like the Northeat Kingdom of Vermont.
