This Giving Tuesday, Make a Donation That Will Help Spread Kindness
Kind Canada is launching its new Kindness Fund, a charity accelerator that will help grassroots not-for-profit organizations. A portion of funds raised during this Giving Tuesday will go directly to supporting a small community-based charity in Ottawa who is using kindness to make a difference in people’s lives.
In these challenging times, we know that kindness can alleviate stress and bring comfort to those whose mental health has been affected by the impact of the global pandemic. Acts of kindness have multiple, proven benefits:
When you help others, it promotes positive physiological changes in the brain that are associated with happiness. Acts of kindness make people smile.
Kindness is contagious and has the potential to spread happiness and improve optimism. Kindness has a warming ripple effect.
Kindness reduces stress and boosts our immune system. Practicing kindness is a good way to feel better.
When you are kind to others, you are being kind to yourself by creating a kindness bank of memories. Thinking about acts of kindness can be heartwarming.
Kindness helps to keep things in perspective and can foster feelings of gratitude and appreciation of the simple things in life.
We hope you will make a donation to Kind Canada this Giving Tuesday so that we can continue our mission of helping to spread kindness in words and deeds.
