I started Kids Speak for Parks in 2017, when I was 9 years old. My goal is to educate kids and their families about the importance of National Parks and Monuments and inspire them to get involved in protecting and visiting these places.
I have always been an advocate for the environment. So after the current administration threatened to shrink the National Park system, I set out to tour the 27 threatened national monuments to raise awareness about the issue, and I created a petition to save the parks for future generations, collecting over 5,000 signatures.
My mission is to help other kids like me experience national parks and understand why they're important. My goal for 2020 is to connect more kids with the parks through free educational virtual reality tours that will be available on Google Expeditions.
