The Kid City Summer Program provides classes, workshops, field trips and activities to more than 100 high school and college students and the program depends on interns. These interns are often former Kid City students who depend on these summer jobs for experience. Last week we learned that the city program that funds our internships unexpectedly cut funding in half, and we are $15,000 short. Please help us hire fifteen determined and eager first-generation college students from low-income families in Los Angeles! In turn, they will provide programs for over 100 more young people including music lessons, SAT PREP, college essay help and mentoring.
Time is of the essence! We are hoping to raise $15,000 in one week so that the program can begin as scheduled on July 2! Many many thanks to all our donors and supporters.
