Kentwood Players Raise the Roof!

The non-profit Kentwood Players, founded more than 70 years ago, is one of the longest-lasting community theatre companies in Los Angeles (and the nation.) Through the decades, Kentwood Players has staged more than 400 productions, touching the lives of tens of thousands of people throughout the region and beyond. It has been a haven for artists, a home for creativity and expression, and a reliable resource for high-quality community theatre in the southland.

In typical times, there is a Kentwood Players show on the Westchester Playhouse stage - or in rehearsal to take the stage - about 46 weeks of the year. Unfortunately, our beloved playhouse home suffered significant water damage during the recent months of darkness as theatres have been shuttered due to Covid. Now, in the midst of that chaos, the roof is badly damaged. WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Please help us "raise the roof" so that when we get the all-clear, we can be ready to raise our curtain once again. We survive on small-dollar donations. 85% of donations to Kentwood Players are less than $100, but it all adds up! Please give what you can - whether that's $5 or $500 - we are so very grateful. And please kindly share this worthy campaign with your friends and networks.

We're calling upon lovers of the arts, and supporters of community and regional theatre from far and wide. Please help us keep doing what we do best- producing quality theatre in a safe setting that enriches our surrounding communities and gives artists and technicians a place to invest, display, and develop their talents. As a 501C3 organization, donations to Kentwood Players are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
