Please help the Kenton County Historical Society with funding to install two new Kentucky Historical Highway Markers.
One marker will honor the importance of the famous 3-L Highway. Everyone is familiar with what is affectionately known as the 3-L -- Madison Pike (KY 17) stretching from Covington to Independence and beyond. Hardly anyone calls it by its official name. We all refer to it as "The 3-L."
The major thoroughfare has a long and interesting history, and this new marker will tell the whole story for all to see. Want to know the 3-L's history?
The second marker will detail ancient civilizations in Kenton County. Specifically, evidence found at what is now Pioneer Park. Both burial mounds and actual settlements existed in the region after glacier activity formed the Ohio River Valley.
We need $5,500 for the two markers, and your donation, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated
