Bloomington Kennedy High Schools young women’s group, Women of the Future, will host the first annual Water Walk on May 10th. The WE walk for water was founded by the WE organization to bring young people together to make a change in the world around them. This year Women of the Future is focusing on the task of providing clean water for everyone locally and globally. As a part of their goal they will be putting on a walk for water with many other schools around the country on the same exact day. Students will have the opportunity during the afternoon on May 10th to come outside and walk around the schools track four times which is a mile. During this walk they will carry heavy backpacks to simulate the walk people make throughout the world to retrieve water, which isn’t always clean. Women of the Future hopes to raise $1000 which will provide clean water for a whole community just like Bloomington! Any donations through the Crowdrise will go directly to WE Charities WE Walk for Water Campaign. Thanks for helping us Turn Clean Water On.
