My daughter's boyfriend, Jacob, asked me if I wanted to ride in the 5-Boro Bike Tour this year on May 3rd as a charity rider representing CancerCare. I have done the 40 mile ride a few times...but this time I told him that my back is not well and made up a whole bunch of excuses. Later that day I said to myself: get your butt up, get back into shape and stop making excuses. How dare me!
Jacob lost his dad to cancer a few years ago, I lost my sister in law to cancer many years ago, and many of us if not all of us have lost someone to this dreadful disease or know someone who is fighting.
Keep Fighting, Keep Remembering and Join Me!!!
