Kelly Pomerville grew up in Columbus, Indiana before graduating from Georgia Southern University. Since then, she’s lived in Savannah, Atlanta, and Miami before settling in Punta Gorda in 2005 to be closer to her two growing nieces (now both in college). Most of her life, Kelly has spent working for non-profit organizations (and volunteering for/serving on Boards for many others). She’s been fortunate to work for Children’s Wish Foundation, Inc. and Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, and now serves at Marketing & Public Relations Director at Charlotte Behavioral Health Care. Three years ago, Elvis walked Kelly down the aisle at Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas, where she married George. She is fortunate to now be surrounded in Charlotte County by her close-knit Indiana family, including her adorable two-year-old niece Gillian, whom she cherishes more than anything. Kelly is an admitted introvert and behind-the-scenes kinda gal, so she definitely can’t figure out how anyone could rope her into being on stage tonight (Shawn Gilstad & Marie LaBrosse – watch out!). It must be because she really believes in the mission of Charlotte County Imagination Library. (She is scared to death, so please don’t heckle her too much at the event!) A voracious reader since her childhood, Kelly knows the difference the gift of literacy offers to children (and adults). She is excited to partner on this mission to help spark imagination in children’s lives and, through books, bring them on adventures they will never experience anywhere else.Thank you so much for your support of the Charlotte County Imagination Library; books spark an imagination that lasts a lifetime.
