My journey to bring joy through physial activity to people living with disablities continues through the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). I’m one of 1,300 volunteers who change the lives of those who live with disabilities through NSCD. As a team, we dedicate over 35,000 hours of our time annually to helping individuals with a disability to ski, snowboard, kayak, rock climb, play team sports, and otherwise achieve their personal best!
I’ve created this fundraising page as part of the larger NSCD Volunteer2Peer Challenge, with the hope of inspiring others to support NSCD by sharing my dedication to this organization. Please consider donating to the NSCD, to ensure all of their life-changing programs have funding for years to come! THANK YOU!
I started as a volunteer ski instructor at Challenge Alaska in 2014. The experience led to my pursuit of a graduate degree in Adapted Physical Education, certification as a personal trainer, and continued engagement bringing physical activity to children with disabilities at Oregon State University and Oregon Adaptive Sports. My move to Colorado led me to NSCD, where I'll teach others how to ski.
