We are a small non-profit that was started by generous donations from local businesses & individuals of our rural area who believed in creating a place where our students could experience the wonders of outer space.
During this time of hardship caused by the COVID-19 virus, we are again in need of our local community to help us through this time of school closures & limited social gatherings. Any money donated will help us keep the Center going by paying utilities bills until schools are able to return to visiting us.
We humbly ask if you have anything to spare, even a small amount will help towards covering our expenses. We are grateful that GoFundMe, Yelp and QuickBooks have donated funds to help small businesses by matching $500 if we raise at least $500. This is an effort to generate enough revenue to cover 4-6 weeks of expenses.
In 2002, a small committee of local organizers formed with the notion of bringing an educational experience unlike any other—the Challenger Learning Center—to the Southern Tier of New York state. The first mission was launched in June 2009. Since then, close to 25,000 students from 17 counties in New York and Pennsylvania—including over 100 public schools and numerous private schools—have participated in our programs. Participation continues to grow as students become inspired by the Challenger Learning Center experience.
Your donation will ensure that we will be around for many years to come, sending our students to the Moon & beyond. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for anything you can give. We thank you in advance and cannot wait to have you back in our launch chairs on your way to Mars!
