Tigers for Tomorrow needs YOUR help in supporting the TIGERS and other animals that have a forever home on the preserve during this time of crisis.
Our dedicated staff provides husbandry and enrichment for the 160+ animals we serve daily. This has been a very difficult time for everyone, trying to adapt to a new way of life in the face of COVID-19. Many people and businesses are coming out of quarantine and beginning to open back up. Unfortunately, Tigers For Tomorrow will not be reopening at this time. You may have heard a tiger at the Bronx Zoo had tested positive for Covid-19. Shortly after announced the virus spread to all of their big cats. Until we know more about the conditions of how this novel virus spreads to big cats, the medical care needed if infected, and what the path to recovery looks like, we just can't reopen to the public. We know the animals are missing all of our guests and so are we. Keeping our gates closed at the height of our season is having a significant financial impact on us but we must do what is best for the animals in our care.
Our organization is committed to ensuring that our animals continue to get the best care during this time. As many of you know, when you visit the preserve, you are visiting a working preserve. Guests are able to observe feedings and interactions closer here at the preserve than at most zoos. So, for these reasons we must ask that you not only be patient with us during this time, but that you join in supporting Tigers For Tomorrow during these challenging and unprecedented times.
Your gift will help provide immediate financial support so the preserve can purchase food, medicines, veterinary care, and other essential needs. Help keep our animals and keepers safe and healthy so we can eventually reopen our gates and continue with our mission of bridging the gap between humans and animals.
