Marina 'Ohana -- The pandemic has affected us all in various ways. While we weren't able to have a regular season, the Club still has bills today such as permits for our beach space, insurance, etc. Thanks to hard work in prior years, MDROCC will be in a stable financial condition heading into 2021. But we don't want to just be stable -- we want to be strong! Obviously take care of yourselves and your families first, but if you have the means to contribute, please consider it.
To make it a fun challenge, we propose a "30 days of Thanks paddle-a-thon" for the 30 days leading up to Thanksgiving. Like an old school jog-a-thon, we encourage you to get family and friends to pledge a donation per mile you paddle for those 30 days. You can absolutely choose to walk, jog, hike or bike your distance if you can't get on the water! More details to follow, but start tracking your mileage on October 24th. Those who raise or donate over $100 will receive a COVID-edition Hoo-Rag, pictured above. Those with the most mileage will win bragging rights!
