Southwest Florida has a unique environmental ecosystem consisting of preserves, sanctuaries, swamps, and estuaries. The flora and fauna are on display daily in their natural environment located throughout all of Southwest Florida.
Lee County is best known for our spectacular quality of life, with sunshine, warm waters, beautiful beaches and thriving wildlife. The region is home to 1.2 million residents and a playground for 6.8 tourists each year.
The vastness and ageless beauty of our community have the power to lull us into a false sense of security, though. Our communtiy seems beyond the reach of time, and out of harm's way. However, our environment's inherent fragility is often forgotten.
Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) is Lee County's largest, volunteer based community action and environmental education organization. KLCB strives to create communtities that are clean, green, and beautiful places to live by engaging our citizens to take action and participate in educational campaigns, cleanups, and beautification projects. The funds raised in this challenge will go towards the KLCB's "Marine Debris Removal" Program as well as environmental protection efforts.
Your support is crucial to us and we’re thankful for the opportunity to increase your support through the A Community Thrives.
