Help us keep the lights on at Lansing's only LGBTQIA+ community center! Whether you’ve shared in the community joy at Salus, or just love the vision of a safe future for all LGBTQIA+ folks, we need your help!
In 2017, Rev. Phiwa Langeni founded the Salus Center as a safe place for all community members to show up authentically, and be embraced as their whole selves.
After three years of radical care and community service, Phiwa is stepping down from their executive position. With help from the community, we (the new leadership and board of directors) hopes to continue Phiwa's work while retiring our affiliation with the United Church of Christ. Salus Center will continue to exist and serve the community as an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization (pending IRS determination).
Due to COVID-19 and the change in leadership, Salus Center is in urgent need of support. We’re currently at risk of losing our brick and mortar location, and need additional financing to cover operational expenses and begin to plan for a sustainable future.
Donate today to help Lansing’s only LGBTQIA+ community center continue providing space, service, and resources!
