Please join us in keeping musicians employed and Jazz Alive in the Bay Area!
For the past 18 years, Los Gatos Music & Arts, nonprofit organization has sponsored valuable educational programs, awarded arts and music scholarships and produced hundreds of live jazz concerts free-to-the-public for our diverse, Bay Area audience.
The Jazz on the Plazz concert series has been a beloved summer tradition and essential gathering place in the South Bay Area. In addition to our world-class concert programs our in-school music clinics have augmented local school curriculums. In addition LGM&A has provided summer jazz camps annually, cultivating a new and upcoming generation of musicians.
As a direct result of these valuable programs, LGM&A, most importantly, employs educators, composers, musicians, sound technicians, stage hands, roadies and the like, contributing to their livelihood.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic these programs, artists, educators, and our team have been furloughed and forced to shutdown all annual events. As a consequence most of our funding and projected revenues evaporated overnight.
In the interim, LGM&A miraculously produced eighteen streaming concerts in an effort to keep some musicians occupied with a small stipend and tips and the audience musically engaged in the safety of their homes.
Thanks to our talented staff, and a tireless team of volunteers working behind the scenes we succeeded in producing a series of stellar streaming concerts to help bridge these challenging times. We could not have come this far without your support, but we have reached the precipice that requires us to ask for greater subsidy from the community at-large.
At this time we implore you to help us in this challenging year and into 2021 to revive our valuable programs and jobs. Jazz on the Plazz and all of our educational programs exist solely due to the benevolence of our friends, sponsors and supporters.
Please take a few minutes to make a contribution and save Los Gatos Music & Arts.
