BrightSide Theatre depends on ticket sales and fundraising events to create our amazing shows.
BrightSide was one of the first businesses that had to close in March of 2020 and Live Theatre will be the last to reopen. Without the ability to gather our friends at the theatre or at our fundraisers, these vital sources of income have dried up. Even with cost-saving measures and emergency relief grants, we face a budget shortfall that will severely impact our ability to reopen in 2021.
Your support is urgently needed before we close our books on this tumultuous year.
Please rush your gift to BrightSide today to help keep our future bright.
Throughout the shutdown, I’m proud to tell you that we’ve been working hard to continue to serve our community: this summer, we created our first-ever online educational programs, bringing BrightSide to theatre enthusiasts of all ages in the comfort and safety of their homes. But even as BrightSide has pivoted to meet the needs of our community during this unprecedented time, we've been hearing from supporters like you that what you need -- what you hope for -- is that BrightSide will still be the familiar home you all know and love when this is over. Their hope (and ours!) is that as soon as it’s safe, we’ll be able to return to BrightSide to escape into the stories we adore with the people we love.
We can’t wait to come back to the theatre -- but we can’t do it without you.
Your gift will help us meet our goal so we can return stronger than ever.
We’re hatching some amazing plans for 2021, and I can’t wait to share them with you in the coming months. In the meantime, thank you again for your loyal support. Though our beloved theatre is dark, BrightSide will continue to shine because of friends like you.
Wishing you warmth and good health, this season and always,
Julie Ann Kornak
