Support CHKD and celebrate 125 years of The King’s Daughters by giving at any of the anniversary-themed levels. Your donation to The King’s Daughters will directly help our pledge to CHKD’s mental health initiative. Our children are in crisis, and CHKD is answering the call with a 14-story mental health hospital and outpatient center opening in 2022.
As founding organization of CHKD, The King’s Daughters is a community-minded group with a long and vibrant history of caring for children. Our charitable work began in 1896 when a group of forward-thinking women wanted to help the sick children of Norfolk. From a single nurse on a bike, they established a visiting nurse service, a series of clinics, and ultimately CHKD. The King’s Daughters, a distinct nonprofit from CHKD, is still active today. Membership is open to all who want to raise funds, friends and awareness for CHKD. The King’s Daughters is currently raising $3 million for CHKD’s Mental Health Program.
