Revived Purpose. Refreshed Hope. Renewed Vision.
The last few years have been nothing short of amazing. Lem answered the call to ministry in 2012, received his license in 2014 and graduated from seminary in 2020. During that time, He felt God was doing a deep work in him. It was a growing and shaping time. He knew that God was preparing him for a great work. He often wondered if it was a church plant or partnering with an existing ministry. A church plant was the stronger sense. He knew the place and even knew the people to whom he was called to serve. What he did not know was the time in which all of this would come together. As he continued to wait patiently, and prepare for his instructions by praying, fasting, and studying, God was preparing also. He was crafting a renewed purpose, reviving fresh hope, and preparing a new vision for Lem.
In the Fall of 2019, Rev. Lemuel W. Woodson Jr. was commissioned by God his Father, to establish and launch a new church in September 2020.
God spoke to him and showed him a people who were desperate for God but did not know how to engage Him and lacked a comprehensive understanding of His ways. Lem immediately saw the people and confirmed who God was speaking about. Not numbers, or units, or groups - Lem saw people. Individuals. Those who were discarded, marginalized, and neglected. Each with his or her own story, each personally loved by God. And God asked Lem to go reach them.
God then specifically gave Lem the name for this new branch of Zion, Kingdom Culture Christian Center (KC3). It became apparent to Lem that God was calling him to establish a place where people could find real life in Christ; a place where people could come, explore faith in Christ, learn how to engage, serve, praise and worship Him in an authentic and acceptable way.
It started small, like a candle in a dark room. But with each day, with each whispered prayer, with each friend's encouragement, with times of prayer and times of fasting, what began as a flicker, soon became a flame.
God was on the move, and He was inviting Lem to partner with Him. In his heart, Lem could see it - the vision was clear - Kingdom Culture Christian Center (KC3) was born!
