For the past twelve weeks, Chimiah and I have been working with Catholic Charities and Chicago Youth Service Corps doing youth development activities and projects. We have been engaged in leadership activities and learning was to better our community. Our program requires us to create a project that will make a change in our community before our program comes to a close. We chose to create a project that addresses hunger. Hunger is affecting many families in the Chicago land area and although we realize we can't end hunger in Chicago in such a short amount of time we understand we can do something to make the times we are in a little easier. With that being said Chimiah and I thought it would be great to donate at least fifty (50) hams and turkeys to the food pantry associated with Ordained of God Full Gospel Church. We were led to believe that we'd be receiving this donation, but sadly it has fallen through. Chimiah and I are looking to bring our donation to the pantry this Saturday, December 12, 2020. The average small turkey costs between twelve (12) and fifteen (15) dollars. Please help us reach our goal and help us bless households on the South Side of Chicago and near suburbs.
