Kay Pacha Initiative is an environmental non-profit organization focused on raising money and mobilizing volunteers to address climate change issues facing the planet. We allocate most of our time addressing environmental issues facing our home of New York City, but once a year we partner with an international organization in a location impacted by climate change to send volunteers to participate in projects geared towards repairing our fragile world.
Kay Pacha Initiative’s upcoming mission trip will be to the Bolivian Amazon in May 2021. The local partner will be Sustainable Bolivia, a non-profit that focuses on enacting sustainable development and environmental conservation within the Aquicuana Reserve.
Kay Pacha Initiative will raise money to send volunteers to Bolivia to participate in two projects. First, the volunteers will help build a research station that Sustainable Bolivia will use to conduct studies that will aid in its efforts to protect and expand the Aquicuana Reserve. Second, the volunteers will assist with a reforestation project, helping locals plant trees in parts of the reserve that need to be rehabilitated.
