The Junior League of Phoenix‘s annual fundraiser is here! Little Black Dress Initiative is our advocacy campaign against limits in our community’s health. These limits include, but are not limited to access to healthy food, food education, healthy lifestyle education, and more by virtue of where someone lives or the income they make.
For one week, October 1 – October 5, our members, myself included, will stand united in defiance of these limits. By limiting themselves to the same little black dress for five consecutive days, our members will illustrate the limits our sisters, our mothers, and our children face in Arizona and how the Junior League of Phoenix’s programs improve the fabric of our community.
The funds raised from this campaign will go to support the Junior League of Phoenix’s focus of Building a Healthy Arizona. The dollars we raise funds our limit-defying programs, including ROCKETS, Kids in the Kitchen, United Way Ending Hunger in the Classroom, and Kids Cook with Heart at Halle Heart Children’s Museum.
Let’s make health limits unfashionable. Because together, our potential is limitless.
